How many people can Eaton Manor accommodate for a corporate retreat?
Eaton Manor can accommodate up to 56 guests (54 in individual beds across 8 luxury cottages).
There are a total of 29 bedrooms, most of which have flexible layouts, either twin or superking.
This makes it flexible for corporate groups.
Is accommodation included on a company retreat?
Venue hire is a separate cost to the accommodation. If you’re planning a multi-day or overnight retreat, you should finalise accommodation before you book.
If you have booked our cottages, you can make use of their living spaces for informal breakout sessions.
What types of corporate retreats can be hosted at Eaton Manor?
Eaton Manor is suitable for a wide range of business retreats, including leadership offsites, strategy meetings, small conferences, team building, end-of-year events, and Christmas parties.
The secluded setting and flexible spaces are ideal for leadership retreats, strategy planning and confidential discussions.
Can we include team‑building activities?
Yes. Indoor and outdoor activities can be arranged. We work with KDM Events, who can arrange excellent team-building activities.
Our venue and large indoor archery range are ideal locations for team-building activities if the weather is poor.
Can we include wellness activities?
Yes, we can help you arrange wellness activities onsite, including yoga sessions, sound baths and art & craft workshops.
Can I host a Christmas party?
Yes. Christmas parties are popular here as we can accommodate up to 56 guests in our cottage accommodation, and provide catering in our venue for your event.
We can also provide a DJ and a bar.
Are there spaces available for both work sessions and social events?
Yes. There are two large rooms in the Events Venue (The Banqueting Room & The Heywood Room). These rooms are interconnecting and we have room screens available to partition them into smaller spaces.
If you have hired one or more of our cottages to stay in, the dining areas and living rooms work really well for smaller breakout sessions.
Is AV equipment available?
AV equipment is available to hire if requested in advance.
Included in the venue hire is: a sound system, 1x microphone, 1x lapel mic, lectern, and a hearing loop in Banqueting room.
In addition to the venue hire, there are: 2x 48″ TV screens and flip charts with pens.
We work with external suppliers who can provide additional equipment as required.
Is high-speed, reliable Wi-fi available onsite?
We have high-speed, reliable satellite available throughout site, with download speeds of up to 240 Mbps.

Is there a dedicated onsite events manager?
Yes. Abi, our Events Manager, will be on hand from initial enquiry right through to the event and can help and guide as much or as little as is required.
What types of business room layouts can you set up?
We can set the Events Venue up in various layouts depending on your requirements. For example: boardroom, U-shape, classroom, theatre, reception, cabaret and banqueting.

Can the venue be dressed?
Yes. You can provide your own décor and dress the venue yourselves, or we can put you in touch with external venue dressing suppliers that we work with.
When to book a company retreat?
You should book your retreat several months in advance to give you and your employees time to plan and arrange convenient transport.
If you have a large group, Eaton Manor recommends booking well ahead of time to secure enough accommodation.
Is the venue easy to reach?
Eaton Manor is located near Church Stretton in Shropshire, in the West Midlands. It is a perfect ‘meet in the middle’ location, accessible from across the UK while feeling truly rural. It is approximately 2 hours from Manchester and 3 hours from London. It is also the ideal location if you are looking for a meeting space near Shrewsbury.
We recommend travelling to Eaton Manor by car. The nearest public transport is in Church Stretton (4 miles away). Taxis from the train station in Church Stretton can be arranged, but this must be done in advance. Contact us for details.
Is there coach access and parking available?
We can help you arrange coach transport. The country lane to EM is very narrow, and therefore the biggest coach we recommend would be a 33 seater. We work with local coach companies who know the local roads and access.
We have ample, free, on-site parking, with two EV chargers.
What should employees bring to a corporate retreat?
Make sure your employees are told to bring clothing and equipment appropriate for the activities, stay duration, and the local weather.
If you choose self-catering, make sure they know if they need to bring their own refreshments.
