Restored with traditional materials by master craftsmen, Curlew Cottage is a picturesque retreat nestling at the heart of the estate, with beautiful, secluded gardens.
This thoughtfully appointed self catering cottage has four ensuite bedrooms (all superking or twin). Three of the ensuites have showers and one has a bath with overhead shower. There is a well equipped kitchen, dining room with oak table which can seat up to 10 people, and a spacious, comfortable sitting room.
Inside, the combination of rustic detailing and comfortable furnishings create a relaxing atmosphere, while outside, the cottage is set in spacious gardens running down to the Eaton Brook (fenced off for safety), with a sunny patio perfect for alfresco dining.
The Bedrooms (x4)
Curlew Cottage sleeps up to 8 people in 4 flexible and adaptable bedrooms.
Each room is beautifully colour co-ordinated with traditional oak flooring, a TV and an ensuite bath or shower room.
The rooms can all be set up with a superking bed or two single beds, depending on your requirements.
The Bathrooms (x4)
All the bathrooms are ensuite.
Three of the four bathrooms are ensuite shower rooms, while the fourth is the main bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
The focal point of the cottage is the large dining room with a panelled herringbone brick wall, French doors leading out to the garden, and a solid oak table made by local craftsmen using oak from the estate, which is ideal for family meals.
Just off the dining room is the modern, spacious, and well-equipped kitchen, complete with an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washer dryer.
The sitting room is no less inviting than the dining room, with plenty of sofas, oak flooring, brick and oak walls, and French doors with idyllic views to the garden. It has a Smart TV and is the perfect room in which to sit and relax in the evening and watch the sun setting over the valley.
The garden at Curlew Cottage is large and enclosed with a flat lawn stretching down to Eaton Brook (this is fenced off for safety).
A large, sunny patio area, complete with charcoal barbeque and garden furniture is at the front of the cottage, with the garden beyond. The garden faces west and is an ideal place to watch the sunset and is also perfect for children to explore and play games.
There is a very large, shared games barn on the estate and a huge playing field, both of which are just a short stroll from Curlew Cottage.
Swimming is available just a short walk away, from the beginning of April to the end of October.
Curlew Cottage has its own driveway with parking for at least 4 cars.

What others are saying...
“We found Curlew Cottage to be spotlessly clean and well organised for our extended family and felt very much 'at home'. A very warm welcome from our hosts supported a lovely location and very good facilities which kept the children occupied either in the swimming pool or the games barn. Well done, a most enjoyable holiday. Thank you!”
“We had a wonderful week in Curlew Cottage. It had everything we needed for a great holiday. We made good use of all the amazing facilities on site; we swam in the pool every day, had a very enjoyable archery lesson for the whole family, played croquet, and spent many hours in the games barn... Great fun was had by all. We would highly recommend this beautiful place to stay.”
“We were a family of three generations and two dogs celebrating a 60th birthday and stayed for the weekend. A text was sent from the first to arrive to those still en-route which said “beautiful” and this was no exaggeration.”
“Perfect place for a restful relaxing break. The welcome packs were so nice and Curlew cottage very comfortable. We ordered the drop off suppers for the 3 nights and all meals were delicious, very well presented with full instructions for heating them ready to eat. Real value for money and highly recommended. Excellent facilities for all to enjoy.”
