We loved our holiday. The provision of a dog tag provided extra peace of mind and we were able to let our slightly over-excitable dog run free in the grassy field next to the cottage. Other doggy perks were an enclosed secure garden, a blanket, bowl and biscuits – and a warm water dog wash. There are fantastic walks on the estate and beyond

Well behaved dogs most welcome

We welcome well-behaved dogs for the following charge:

£35.00 per dog for a short break
£45.00 per dog per week

Please note:
– It’s a maximum of 2 dogs in each of our cottages sleeping 3 or less.
– In each of our larger cottages you can bring a maximum of 3 dogs.
If you wish to bring more, please contact us to discuss.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does dog-friendly mean?

Dog-friendly means we are very happy for you to bring well-behaved dogs to stay with you in your holiday cottage, without lodging them in a kennel. We have lots of amenities to accommodate dogs of all breeds and sizes.

Can you leave a dog unattended in a holiday cottage?

Whilst your Shropshire holiday cottage has a private enclosed garden or patio for your dogs to enjoy, they can’t be left unattended. They can only be left on their own if they are crate-trained, and left in the cottage.

What to plan for a dog-friendly holiday?

It’s useful to have a general plan of places to visit with your dog. Many places locally are dog-friendly, but it’s always worth checking with them first. We provide details of the nearest vets in case of emergencies.

Where are some dog-friendly places in Shropshire?

Church Stretton, our nearest town, has dog-friendly cafes and pubs. Local National Trust places such as Carding Mill Valley and Attingham Park are popular dog-friendly locations in Shropshire.

We have a guide to dog-friendly places to eat.

Are dog beds, bowls, or crates provided at the cottage?

A bowl, blanket, towel, and ID tag are provided per dog. We also include waste bags, a warm dog wash, and doggy waste bins. Please bring your own dog bed. We have a crate to borrow on request.
