In August we had the pleasure of welcoming a family to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary at Eaton Manor.
Nick & Jan are regular guests at Eaton Manor and this year they wanted to bring their extended family for a weekend at Eaton Manor so they could all celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary together.
We are thrilled that they have given us a testimonial of their stay, together with some wonderful photos from the weekend.
My wife and I regularly stay at Eaton Manor for short breaks, but this August was a very special occasion as we were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary.
With the assistance of the fantastic Eaton Manor team, we booked Toad Hall for our 3 children, their partners and our 7 grandchildren. Toad Hall was perfect for our family – all the bedrooms have ensuites and the lounge and dining area is huge. The grandchildren enjoyed the large outdoor and secure space.
We booked Garden Cottage for the two of us to treat ourselves, as it has great character and comfort.
We also booked the recently renovated Banqueting Room in the Events Centre for a lunch buffet and afternoon with our extended family and some close friends on the Saturday of our weekend of celebrations.
The Eaton Manor team helped us with all our arrangements.
They found us an excellent caterer (Jane Wilde Catering) who provided us with a superb supper for all our family on the Friday night (which was our actual anniversary). The food was of the highest standard and very reasonably priced, especially as they served it all, cleared away, and washed up. We had a really brilliant evening as shown in the photo of us all around the table in Toad Hall.
The same caterer did the lunch buffet on the Saturday, which was again fabulous, as shown in the photo of some of our guests collecting their food.
The team also found us a lovely lady who has just started a cake business (Woman and Whisk) and she provided us with the most amazing celebration cake, together with some delicious cupcakes and rocky road to go with our tea later in the afternoon, as shown in one of the photos here.
The Banqueting Room is a wonderful venue with its facilities and really lovely view down the valley at the base of Wenlock Edge.
The room is so spacious with a great bar area where we provided our guests with drinks. It has a very light and welcoming feel. We were able to decorate it again with the help of the Eaton Manor Team.
The patio, large lawn and beautiful borders of the Secret Garden provide the perfect setting on a nice day (which it was) so the grandsons played cricket on the lawn and guests used the deckchairs and benches. It provided such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.
What is great about Eaton Manor is not just the very high standard of its accommodation but the facilities it provides.
The games barn was a huge hit with our grandchildren as was the swimming pool. Some of our guests went for a walk around the lovely estate in the afternoon.
The weekend could not have gone better – everything was so perfect and a huge amount of that is down to the friendly and wonderful Eaton Manor team who could not have done any more for us to make sure our celebrations were a huge success.
Eaton Manor has provided us with memories of a very special weekend which we will treasure for the rest of our lives. We cannot thank them enough.
