Eaton Manor can accommodate up to 56 guests (54 in individual beds across 8 luxury cottages).
There are a total of 29 bedrooms, most of which have flexible layouts, either twin or superking.
Are the spaces suitable for practical creative work?
Yes. Our indoor spaces are light‑filled and adaptable, while outdoor areas provide additional inspiration and space to work.
The Banqueting Room in the venue has lots of natural light.
Can we bring our own facilitators or teachers?
Absolutely. Eaton Manor works with retreat hosts and external facilitators to support their vision.
Is the venue private, peaceful and inspiring?
Yes. Eaton Manor is set within 500 acres of countryside near Church Stretton, offering privacy, quiet and space to switch off.
It is at the end of a country lane, with no through traffic and is surrounded by countryside and beautiful views. You will hear lots of birdsong! There is a poetry trail available.
Is the venue easy to reach?
Eaton Manor is located near Church Stretton in Shropshire, in the West Midlands. It is a perfect ‘meet in the middle’ location, accessible from across the UK while feeling truly rural. It is approximately 2 hours from Manchester and 3 hours from London.
We recommend travelling to Eaton Manor by car. The nearest public transport is in Church Stretton (4 miles away). Taxis from the train station in Church Stretton can be arranged, but this must be done in advance. Contact us for details.
Can materials be left out securely overnight?
Yes. The rooms in the events venue can be securely locked so you can leave materials out overnight.
Can we play music?
Yes. There is a sound system in each of the two large rooms, included in the venue hire for you to use.
Can the rooms and mealtimes be flexible around creative flow?
Certainly. You have use of the venue for the duration of your stay and can come and go as you need to.
For catering, your mealtimes can be discussed with your chosen caterer.
