midlands Microwave round table
& EME Weekend
Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th january 2027
The next Midlands Microwave Round Table will take place on
Saturday 9th January 2027 at Eaton Manor
With a second day focusing on moon bounce / Earth-Moon-Earth operating.
The event will follow much the same format as previous events, with the day having a relaxed schedule of talks aimed primarily at UKuG, BATC and AMSAT interests and other innovative areas of amateur radio.
Test and fix equipment will be available, together with tables of goodies to get your hands on, or that you want to part with, and there will be a QO100 satellite demonstration station as well.
Day 1 – Microwave Round Table – Saturday, 9th January 2027
The event venue will be open from 9:00 am, and proceedings will start at 10:00 am.
There is an admission charge of £26 per head, which includes a two-course sit-down lunch (vegetarian option available on request at time of booking), all day teas and coffees etc.

Test & Fix
Test equipment will be available for noise, power and spectral measurements.
There will be soldering facilities including hot air systems for work on SMD.
The ‘Portsdown clinic’ will help people get things working.
Goodies!
There will be tables provided free of charge for the junk sale and for any free stuff you wish to give away.
A sack truck will be on hand so don’t be shy!
The BATC shop will be open for business, offering PCBs and hard to find components.
Demonstration Station
Throughout the day there will be a QO100 ground station setup to demonstrate the use of this satellite and for on-air testing of receiver and transmitter components.
Day 2 – EME Day – Sunday, 10th January 2027
On the Sunday, there will be a Moonbounce/EME day. This day will focus on Earth-Moon-Earth operating, with talks and an open discussion.
The event venue will be open from 9:00 am, and proceedings will start at 10:00 am.
There is an admission charge of £15 per head, which includes a light lunch (vegetarian option available on request at time of booking), teas and coffees etc.
