Autumn has always been one of my favourite times of year at Eaton Manor. The countryside begins to change colour, the evenings draw in and our indoor archery range comes back into its own.
Many of our returning guests tell me they enjoy the opportunity to spend uninterrupted time shooting, away from the distractions of everyday life. Whether you’re practising for the indoor season ahead, spending time with your club members, or simply enjoying an archery-focused break with friends, Eaton Manor offers a unique experience.

24/7 Access to the Indoor Range
One of the biggest advantages of an archery break at Eaton Manor is the freedom to shoot when it suits you.
Our 70-metre indoor archery range is available 24/7 when you hire the range as part of your stay, so you have access throughout your break, day and night.
Many guests tell us they end up shooting significantly more than they would at home. Instead of a few club sessions each week, they can enjoy several practice sessions a day, helping them concentrate on technique and build valuable shooting time.
Last year, our eight Tenzone bosses were refurbished with new foam, ensuring excellent shooting conditions for the season ahead.
We were very grateful to Steve at Tenzone Targets for fulfilling this order after the devastating fire he had.
The bosses are on wheels, allowing you to set them at the distance you wish to shoot.
Relax and Recover After a Day’s Practice
Of course, all that extra shooting can lead to a few aching muscles.
That’s where one of the newer additions to Eaton Manor comes into its own.
Several of our cottages now benefit from private hot tubs, providing the perfect place to relax at the end of a day on the shooting line.
There’s something particularly satisfying about sinking into warm, bubbling water after a productive day’s practice.
For those looking for even more relaxation, our Wellness Treatment Room offers treatments from our experienced massage therapist, helping to ease tired muscles and leave you refreshed for another day of shooting.
Dogs are very welcome to come too! With spectacular Shropshire countryside walks on your doorstep, a warm dog wash for afterwards, and various little extras, your four-legged friend will really feel at home as well.
Stay Together in Comfortable, Flexible Accommodation
Our holiday cottages work particularly well for archery groups.
Most bedrooms can be configured as either twin beds or super kings, making them ideal for both couples and groups of friends sharing accommodation.
Many bedrooms are also ensuite, giving guests additional comfort and privacy during their stay.
For guests requiring accessible accommodation, Pendennis offers six bedrooms, two of which are accessible with large wet rooms designed to accommodate wheelchair users.
Great Food Without the Fuss
After a day on the range, not everyone wants to cook.
Many guests enjoy visiting some of the excellent local restaurants and pubs nearby, including The Station Inn, renowned for its steaks, along with popular restaurants in Church Stretton such as Sawaddee Thai Restaurant and Jaipur Indian Restaurant.
Others prefer a more relaxed evening in their cottage.
Our local catering partners can provide delicious home-cooked drop-off meals delivered directly to your door. It is an easy and cost-effective way to enjoy a relaxing evening with your group, your favourite drinks and no washing up afterwards.
