Celebrating 25 years

of eaton manor holiday cottages

This June marks a very special milestone for us at Eaton Manor…
25 years of welcoming guests to our holiday cottages!

Reaching a quarter of a century feels both wonderful and humbling.

What started in 2001 as Nichola’s vision to create a place where people could relax, reconnect and enjoy the beautiful Shropshire countryside has grown into something truly special, thanks to the many people who have been part of our journey along the way.

Now, 25 years later, we have 8 holiday cottages sleeping up to 56 guests, and an in-house team of 10 to look after everyone!

Looking Back with Gratitude

Over the past 25 years, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming thousands of guests, many of whom have returned time and time again, becoming part of the Eaton Manor story. Seeing families grow, friendships flourish and memories made here has always been at the heart of what we do.

Just as importantly, this milestone is about the people behind the scenes. Eaton Manor simply wouldn’t be what it is today without the dedication, care and hard work of our team – past and present.

A Special Celebration

To mark the occasion, we gathered together for a truly memorable celebration. On a glorious sunny day, the whole team came together for a relaxed lunch, beautifully catered by Oak Apple Caterers.

It was a joyful opportunity not just to celebrate how far we’ve come, but also to reconnect. We were delighted to welcome back former team members, Laura and Dale, who played such an important role in shaping Eaton Manor over the years. Seeing familiar faces and sharing stories from across the years made the day all the more meaningful.

After lunch, we rounded off the celebrations with something a little different, a team crafting session. Together, we created a special row of handmade bunting, proudly spelling out: Eaton Manor 25 Years

Each piece reflects the personalities, creativity and camaraderie of the team, and it felt like a fitting way to mark the occasion – something personal, collaborative and made with care, just like Eaton Manor itself.

We were treated to a stunning celebration cake, lovingly baked and decorated by Abi, one of our own team, and we presented Nichola with bespoke artwork portraying her life at Eaton Manor over the years – personal touches that made the day even more special.

The Manor House, Then

Eaton Manor has been in the Madeley family since 1934.

The estate has seen many changes in this time. However, Nichola (fourth generation) made the decision to diversify into holiday cottage accommodation in 2001 and opened up The Manor House to guests – sleeping 9 to begin with. This fabulous house, dating from 17th Century, has had a programme of continuous renovation and improvements since then, and now sleeps 14 in 7 stunning ensuite bedrooms.

All the other cottages were properties owned by the estate, either as dwellings or farm buildings and, over the intervening years, have been fully renovated and opened to guests.

Looking Ahead

While we’re proud to celebrate 25 years, we’re also excited for what lies ahead. Our focus remains the same as it has always been: to create a welcoming, comfortable and memorable stay for every guest who comes through our doors.

To everyone who has been part of the Eaton Manor journey – whether as a guest, a team member, or a supporter – thank you. Your support means the world to us.

Here’s to the next chapter!
