The Perfect Setting for a Festive Work Retreat.
We were delighted to welcome a business group to Eaton Manor, in the Shropshire Hills National Landscape, for their Christmas getaway at the end of November.
From the moment the 17 guests arrived, our aim was to help them unwind, relax and enjoy a well-earned break from the working world in a peaceful countryside setting.
How Eaton Manor worked for their retreat…
The group stayed for two nights in our cottage accommodation, with full catering provided, and enjoyed exclusive use of our events venue during their stay.

To make the most of the Christmas spirit, the group took part in a range of seasonal activities designed to encourage teamwork and plenty of fun. These moments of shared laughter and friendly competition reflected just how important it is to step away from routine and reconnect in a more relaxed setting.
Exploring the Shropshire countryside
During their stay, the group took part in a guided walk, hosted by Nichola & John, and their dog, Moose.
The walk took them up onto the Wenlock Edge, above Eaton Manor, giving fantastic views of the surrounding Shropshire countryside that makes Eaton Manor such a special place.
The accommodation & dining
The group stayed for two nights across The Manor House, Toad Hall, Curlew Cottage and Garden Cottage, each one offering single occupancy ensuite bedrooms to ensure comfort and privacy for every guest.
Having a mix of shared space and personal retreat made the stay both sociable and restful, and it was lovely to see the cottages quickly fill with festive cheer and conversation.
Full catering was provided throughout their visit by Oak Apple Catering, allowing everyone to focus on enjoying their time together while Oak Apple Catering took care of the rest. Each meal was freshly prepared and served with care, but the highlight was certainly the three-course evening meal on the second night.
We had a great time last week, thankyou again for all your help! All positive feedback from the team, it’s definitely somewhere we will recommend to others and keep in mind for future events.
