Proud to Support Charities

Our Charity of the Year
Macmillan Cancer Support

We are proud to announce that we are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support in Shropshire as our chosen charity to help raise vital funds for the charity.

We wanted to support Macmillan Cancer Support to recognise the truly wonderful work carried out by Macmillan nurses on a daily basis and to help raise much-needed funds so that the care provided in Shropshire is able to continue. Macmillan provides practical, medical and financial support to those affected by cancer and they push for better cancer care.

We have held a number of events at Eaton Manor to raise money and awareness for the charity, namely our Christmas Fayres in 2013, 2014 and 2015, and our Classic Vehicle Days in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, all of which have been great successes.

So far we have raised over £16,000.00 in total for Macmillan in Shropshire!

Charities we support

International Egg Foundation

As a business, we have strongly supported this charity and are a founding member. The IEF is an independent charitable foundation that has been established to improve nutrition, health and education in developing countries, by increasing egg production and consumption. We have pledged a mid-week business break at Eaton Manor for the IEF’s annual fund-raising auction.

Motor Neurone Disease Association

We made a significant donation to Row the Amazon 2015, a remarkable challenge was taken on by five amateur rowers from Shropshire, one of whom is a friend and business colleague, to row the navigable length of the Amazon River, from Nauta in Peru to Macapá in Brazil – a total distance of 2077 miles – totally unsupported and completely self-funded.

We have also pledged a mid-week break at Eaton Manor for a charity auction to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of Clive Frampton, a friend and colleague.

Edward’s Trust

We have worked with Edward’s Trust for a number of years and offer our properties at a much-reduced rate for short breaks for bereavement counselling.

The Harry Johnson Trust

We have linked with the Shropshire based Harry Johnson Trust to offer reduced rate holiday accommodation for Shropshire families with seriously ill children.

Thinking of Mel

A group of friends fundraising for a local woman, Melissa Jago, who suffered severe brain injuries after falling down her stairs in September 2016.

Shropshire Young Carers Group

We have been delighted to host the young carers of Shropshire for the day and give them time to just have fun and be kids.

Meals on Wheels of Wake County, USA

We also support a charity based a little further afield, in North Carolina in the USA, which is close to the heart of a good friend. We regularly pledge a mid-week break at Eaton Manor for a charity auction to raise funds for the Meals on Wheels of Wake County charity to support the elderly in their community.
