We are delighted to be one of four finalists in the Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality category of the Shropshire Business Awards.
These prestigious annual awards celebrate all aspects of the Shropshire business industry, not just accommodation providers, and being shortlisted is a testament to the hard work and commitment from our in-house team at Eaton Manor.
The Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality category is for businesses in Shropshire demonstrating a positive contribution to the county through enhanced visitors and employment, as well as how they embrace adoption of technology.
The awards ceremony will be held on 24th June, so we are all keeping our fingers firmly crossed!
2016 is the Year of the English Garden, celebrating one of England’s greatest attractions and marking the 300th anniversary of ‘Capability’ Brown.
We wanted to mark the occasion by promoting the wonderful gardens in Shropshire and neighbouring counties that are all close enough to visit whilst staying at Eaton Manor.
In fact the National Trust’s Berrington Hall, just 20 miles away, is a designated Capability Brown site, with its park created by the famous landscape architect from 1780.
Powis Castle, also a National Trust property, 28 miles away, has stunning gardens which are truly worth a visit.
Shropshire has parks and gardens in abundance that are of special significance nationally and locally. The Dingle in Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park is a floral masterpiece created by well known gardener Percy Thrower.

We are also extremely proud of our own gardens right here at Eaton Manor and our Head Gardener, David, and his team work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure they are overflowing with colour in every season.

Each year VisitEngland, the national tourist board, visit Eaton Manor to assess our standards.
We are delighted that this year, both The Manor House and Garden Cottage have been awarded the highest accolade of a Five Star Gold grading. Both properties underwent significant developments at the end of 2015 and so these gradings are testament to the effort and investment that was put in.
We are also very pleased that our other properties have retained their great standards and this now means two of our properties are Five Star Gold (The Manor House & Garden Cottage), one is Five Star (Toad Hall) and two are Four Star Gold (Pendennis & Curlew Cottage).
Three of our properties were also assessed for their accessibility and retain their Mobility 1 Rating. These properties are Toad Hall, Pendennis, and Curlew Cottage and the Mobility 1 rating reflects that these properties are suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
The three properties offer features such as ground floor accommodation, and ground floor shower rooms.
For more details and for specific mobility enquiries please call us on 01694 724814 or email us.
