The Eaton Manor team love to read the guest book comments; here are a sample of some recent entries.
The Maguire Family, Toad Hall & Curlew Cottage (Nov 2016)
We would just like to say a big THANK YOU for a most wonderful stay. You could not have done any more. The accommodation in both Toad Hall and Curlew Cottage was far beyond our expectations and certainly matched any good first class hotel we have stayed in. The entire premises was so clean and well maintained and you had thought of everything.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our 40th Wedding Anniversary celebrations go so smoothly.
We will be back and will certainly recommend your fantastic establishment.
The Laws Family, Curlew Cottage (Oct 2016)
We were a family of three generations and two dogs celebrating a 60th birthday and stayed for the weekend beginning 30th September 2016. A text was sent from the first to arrive to those still en route which said “beautiful” and this was no exaggeration. All periphery items e.g. kitchen towel, toilet rolls, soap, tea/coffee/sugar and even a selection of herbs and spices were there in sufficient quantities for our needs. The cottage was spotlessly clean and all towels, linen and kitchen utensils and equipment were first class.
The enclosed garden was wonderful for the children and dogs to play and the weather was so kind we were able to have Sunday Lunch outside. The games room and other facilities were wonderful and enjoyed by all.
The setting and views are breath taking as well as the walks. We even managed to attend the Harvest Festival in the little church down the lane which was rather beautiful. Two of our group did go to the Wellbeing Centre and of course the swimming pool was a hit with the children.
Cathy and I loved it so much we are checking availability to stay in Garden Cottage next year (we had a little peep through the windows).
Thank you all at Eaton Manor for a wonderful time.
Three Families, The Manor House (July/August 2016)
We have all enjoyed our stay at Eaton Manor very much for our family summer holiday of 3 generations.
Excellent facilities – home from home.
We ate out at The Green Dragon and The White House and can highly recommend both.
We also has Milly (the chef) come to cater one night which was fantastic and definitely worth doing. We booked archery too and our coach Tom was excellent. The games room is brilliant and we all loved using it.
The guys in the office were extremely helpful and responsive when we needed them.
We hope to return one day.
The Ezard Family, Pendennis (July 2016)
On behalf of my family I want to thank you and staff for an absolutely fantastic stay at Eaton Manor. Our every need was catered for and all the lovely touches added. Thank you for the cake and wine that was left on arrival, it was a lovely surprise.
All the children loved Eaton Manor, the games room and swimming pool especially. The accommodation at Pendennis was perfect for us all. The garden was ideal for the children and our little dog. We’ve all had a truly wonderful and memorable holiday.
The Matthews’, Garden Cottage (May 2016)
What a beautiful cottage and great facilities. We’ve had a really lovely holiday. The local walks are beautiful – thanks for the maps!
The warm welcome from everyone has been great and the personal touches, such as a welcoming cake, just add to the specialness.
Powis Castle was worthy of the journey into Wales, Shrewsbury is a beautiful town. Ludlow very quaint and Much Wenlock is just amazing; trapped in a time long ago.
The Bottle & Glass is an excellent place to eat and drink and The Green Dragon has rib-eye steak second to none!
Thank you for a brilliant holiday, we’ll be back!
The Hill Family, Toad Hall (Easter 2016)
We spent the Easter Weekend 2016 here (4 nights, arriving Thursday late afternoon and leaving 2pm Easter Monday)
This was a family get together, with 5 adults and 4 children ages 7, 8 and 9 years.
The property was spacious and very well appointed with large private garden and patio area with outside furniture. It was ideal for a mix of ages – grandparents, parents and children and enough space not to be on top of each other.
We loved the fact that there were several walks directly from the property and others at a short distance away.
The children loved the games room (and the freedom to go along to it on their own!) and playing badminton in the high barn.
Birthday Celebration, Eaton Manor Country Estate (Jan 2016)
Eaton Manor is a fantastic venue. We used the Banqueting Room for a party for 50 people.
Everything was brilliant – from the day we booked the helpful staff couldn’t do enough, from sourcing caterers to a magician, to taking an itemised shopping list and putting every item in the place we needed it.
The accommodation is really lovely, all of our guests were really impressed, and it’s practical, so you don’t have to worry about damaging carpets/dirty shoes/a spillage – everything has been thought about.
We couldn’t have had a better weekend and wouldn’t have changed a thing!
October/November 2015 – The Manor House
Here we are again for our fourth visit!
Thanks for another great weekend – everything up to the usual high standard we now know we can rely on.
A few changes – like the welcome “fizz” were very much appreciated and got the weekend off to a great start.
We’ve leaving once more with some memories to treasure and looking forward to our next visit.
The “Eaton Manor Weekend” is now established as one of our family rituals and a date we all anticipate with great excitement.
Long may it continue!
June 2015 – Pendennis
We stayed in Pendennis for my husband’s 40th celebrations with 3 generations of family. The accommodation was perfect for our needs as there were 3 toddlers, 2 very active boys, and adults of all ages. The property is all on one level, with a great garden, fantastic views, large lawn where a lot of football was played and a pool at the end of the garden, what more can you ask for, thank you! A few minutes walk down the lane and you have the games room which was brill, again catering for all ages and we had lots of fun playing rounders on the playing field. The badminton court was an added bonus!
The accommodation was lovely, very well equipped kitchen and everything was extremely clean. The beds were comfy and showers great. Plenty of room to relax in the conservatory and we managed to eat in the garden for most meals.
The great thing about Eaton Manor estate is that you don’t have to leave for the whole weekend, you have all the entertainment you need for a family so completely relaxing and my boys had a brilliant time. We will hold fond memories of our weekend here and hope to return one day.
March 2015 – Toad Hall
Thank you Laura for all your wonderful help, and Nichola too for answering all our random questions! We had a wonderful time – amazing facilities and we loved all the little touches – hairdryers in every bedroom, ice in the freezer, cake on arrival!
An amazing weekend in a beautiful setting. Brilliant setting and brilliant accommodation, it couldn’t have been any better. We all loved it and would love to come back!
February 2015 – Curlew Cottage
Had a lovely stay at Curlew Cottage with seven fab ladies for my hen do.
A great cosy cottage that has allowed us to relax together and have a giggle!
Loved the big dining table- we have sat around it most of the weekend.
Eaton Manor helped me organise a really fun dance class on site and a beautiful meal in the cottage on the Saturday night – a perfect mix of activities and chilling out!
The cottage had everything we needed- very well stocked and lots of lovely bathrooms for all us ladies!
Would love to come back!
February 2015 – Toad Hall & The Manor House
We were 26 in total with ages from 16 months to 80 years. The weekend was to celebrate the recent 80th birthdays of Sheila and Tony, who have been married for 55 years.
This is a marvellous location and Eaton Manor lived up to its reputation for providing a marvellous experience. The facilities are first class and everyone left on Sunday with the feeling they had experienced a unique and special weekend.
The highlight was a dinner and Saturday night with laughter and happiness was enjoyed by all.
Well done Eaton Manor (you go the extra mile!)
