Macmillan Cancer Support: Our Charity of the Year

Classic Motor Show 2018

On Sunday, 20th May 2018 we held our our 5th annual Classic Motor Show at Eaton Manor and raised £5000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in Shropshire!

Thank you to everyone who supported us to make the day such a success.

We had an amazing turnout of over 170 exhibiting vehicles, spanning all ages from a Lagonda Rapier, a Singer Junior, an early Bentley and a 1930s SS Jaguar, to an E-Type Jaguar, a Lotus Europa and a fully rebuilt early edition 1970s Range Rover, as well as more modern classics including Minis, Porsches and an LSE Range Rover. We also had a Vincent Hurricane, driven by the designer himself, Robin Vincent, a stationary oil engine and a variety of vintage tractors and bikes.

Visitors attended in their droves and enjoyed wandering around the vast array of interesting vehicles, as well as craft and gift stalls and special interest groups such as the Telford and District Amateur Radio Society, with their special event radio station, and Telford Railway Modellers Group. Younger visitors also enjoyed rides on mini Land Rover Defenders and a mini train on tracks.

Entry was free of charge for cars and visitors, with the £5000.00 raised from refreshments including a barbecue, bar, light lunches, teas, and a tombola, raffle and donation pots.

All proceeds go Macmillan in Shropshire as part of our ongoing support of the charity.

THANK YOU to everyone who exhibited their vehicles and to all the visitors who came along to admire some amazing pieces of machinery from the last century and support such a fantastic cause.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU to everyone who supported the event by donating raffle prizes and giving up their time to help with refreshments, sell raffle tickets and vehicle marshalling etc on the day.

The event is being organised in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, registered charity in England and Wales (261017), Scotland (SC039907) and the Isle of Man (604). Also operating in Northern Ireland.
