School holidays are guaranteed to be filled with fun at Eaton Manor.

We have loads to do on the estate without needing to get in the car, which is always nice for Mum and Dad! With the weather warming up, days can be spent outdoors in the large private gardens of each of our holiday homes, playing games on our enormous playing field or perhaps a spot of friendly rivalry on the croquet lawn. Not to mention our 500-acre estate, around which we have plenty of private walks to enjoy and where interesting wildlife can be spotted. You can also enjoy a pony & trap ride or hire bikes during your stay and explore the surrounding countryside at your leisure.

However, if dark clouds are looming then fear not because we’ve plenty to do indoors too, including our covered and heated swimming pool, our indoor badminton court and our fantastic billiards and games room (with all sorts from table tennis to table football and pool to air hockey, as well as board games and toddler-friendly toys). You could even try your hand at archery, as we have an indoor range with professional instructors to show you the ropes (advanced booking essential).

If you do fancy a trip out for the day, then the activities on your doorstep are endless. Shropshire is one big outdoor playground with mountain biking and hiking on the stunning nearby Longmynd to thrill seeking outdoor pursuits such as quad biking and high ropes, as well as horse riding and golf. If you’re after a more gentle pace, however, then just down the road is the BBC’s Victorian Farm, Acton Scott, an historic working farm or, slightly further afield, you’ll find National Trust places to visit, as well as Ironbridge (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with 10 museums and the world’s first Iron Bridge to see and the market towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are well worth a visit too.

Whatever you fancy and however young or old the kids are, we’re sure there’ll be plenty to entertain everyone at Eaton Manor and in the local area.
