Beautifully quiet and a relaxing few days. The cake was wonderful and a great touch! Many thanks for the chance to enjoy the peace and quiet away from the ‘big smoke’ in London. Lots of lovely walks and the weather mainly held (except for a few hail showers!) A great few days recovery.

Lovely weekend in a beautiful house! Rather wet walk over Wenlock Edge, but rewarded by a wonderful lunch at The Crown at Munslow – highly recommended. Children enjoyed the Games Room. Adults had a fabulous 1970′s party to celebrate Howard’s 40th Birthday. Many Thanks!

Need to come again to explore more of the countryside – a week is not long enough. Shropshire is a well kept secret. Children enjoyed the swimming pool whilst we prepared meals in the well supplied kitchen.

Would recommend Ludlow for a visit – can’t see that Prince Charles will visit while you are there though like he did when we went! Wenlock worth a visit and on the way there drop into the Wenlock Edge Inn – warm, welcoming, great food and good choice of Ales and Cider.
Stokesay Castle is well worth seeing, we had such a great welcome by the staff and the castle is compact but very historical.
This cottage is in a great location for seeing so much, we will have to return as we have missed so much.

Every detail is thought of, from the perfect manicured garden, the secluded pool to the beautiful sponge cake on arrival. Church Stretton is a lovely place to visit and to eat at. We recommend a visit to Carding Mill Valley and also the town of Ludlow with its wonderful castle. But overall this cottage is a great place to stay whilst on our travels in Shropshire. Perfection!!!

Good pub food at the Ragleth Inn (Little Stretton) also Housmans & Berry’s in Church Stretton. For active youngsters Drummond Outdoor Canoes Shrewsbury and Border Quad Biking at Halfway House (a nice family firm).
Well equipped accommodation, clean and peaceful location. Cake and wine on arrival were much appreciated. Quiet country roads also well appreciated. It was great to sit out on the patio on a few sunny afternoons. Thanks to Eaton Manor we had a fine holiday. Staff very helpful too. Explorer map very useful.
PS: Nice to see so many swallows & butterflies in the garden.
School Friends’ Re-union, Curlew Cottage (May 2012)
5 of us who were all at school together “sometime ago” met up here for a reunion get-together and to celebrate a certain “noughty” birthday! We found Curlew Cottage very comfortable and it seemed to have everything for our needs. All of us were ecstatic over the stunning views we enjoyed on our walks – both short and long (ish). The weather was good enough for us to sit out in the garden with our early evening tipples.
So pleased that Melinda who organised the event found Eaton Manor and their website!
It was a lovely welcome to find a home-made cake on arrival. I shall certainly be recommending you to others.

It was a great way to celebrate Jill’s birthday.
We hope to return.
Steve R. & Friends, The Manor House (Feb 2013)
We came to stay,
On one fine day,
A group of friends,
From far away.
New Zealand, Canada,
Australia too,
Of us Brits,
There few but few.
In your fine Manor,
We had a ball,
We ate and drank,
And indulged some more.
Viscount Steve turned 35,
He drank a lot but still survived,
Feeling withered this morning after,
A few grey hairs but still with laughter.
We thank you all,
For providing cake,
Fondest memories,
We will take.
The house is sublime,
As was the wine,
We leave you now
And we feel just fine.
Nigel J. & Friends, Toad Hall (Mar 2013)
A very cold start to the holiday luckily made better by all the wonderful help we received from the lovely Nichola and her father, Tony. They made every effort to go out of their way to help our group of nine when the snow fell so heavily we were actually stranded a few miles away from Eaton Manor. We would like to thank both of them for all their wonderful help, including helping us find a ‘rescue’ truck and for Tony braving the snow in his pick-up truck to collect us, and to Nichola who helped us with our shopping over the next few days, and for collecting a member of our party from the train station when none of us could get out!
We all had an amazing time in this beautiful house surrounded by the pretty countryside, none of us could have asked for more, we all felt so comfortable straight way and could have quite happily stayed longer.
Thank you again for helping with the decorations and to the amazing chefs who made my father’s 60th brithday a very special day. The food was delicious and we would highly recommend them to anyone staying at the wonderful Toad Hall.
